Integrating custom drum sounds into a full percussion set-up always took a lot of time and effort. The Roland SPD-S Sampling Pad was developed to eliminate complicated configuration hassles and give drummers and percussionists an easier, yet affordable way to trigger drum sounds and loops. The Roland SPD-S comes with intense CD-quality sound output, generous sampling time, six well-tested rubber pads and three superb edge triggers.

It is such a compact percussion gadget and offers a great alternative to large, bulky acoustic triggers or a rack sampler. The SPD-S lets you record samples and play them back instantly; likewise, it also includes 120 presets sounds ranging from acoustics and electronic drums to percussion and sound effects. Combine any of the onboard sounds with your own sampled sounds to create ultimate percussion performances.

Tweaking sounds is a no-brainer, just twist the front panel knobs or use an optional expression pedal. The SPD-S is compatible with CompactFlash storage so it is easy to expand your onboard sampling time and storage. You can even import and export WAV/AIFF files using your Mac or PC! One can never imagine the number of percussion outputs or sound variations that can come from the Roland SPD-S Percussion sampling pad. Its just about the size of a brown legal envelope but what you can do for a versatile drumming experience is truly beyond imagination. It is compatible with other sound hardware and easily mounts to conventional drum stands so you get a full-band effect for your jamming or recording sessions! So if you are looking for an ultra-flexible percussion add-on with amazing effects and decent expandability, the Roland SPD-S will be a welcome addition to your sound hardware collection.
